Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that today at different parts of the world there are attempts to destroy the cultural and civilization identity of peoples. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
“Serious challenges creates the use of Internet technologies for this purpose, including social networks. This kind of factors need, of course, take into account,” said the Russian minister at the 37th meeting of the Council of Heads of Standles of the Russian Federation at the Russian Foreign Ministry.
At the same time, Lavrov stressed that Moscow stands for depoliticized cultural and humanitarian contacts with other countries, including European and North American. He also noted the huge cultural possibilities of Russia, which must be used.
