The Central Bank of Russia proposes to create special bank deposits for low-income Russians, the deputy chairman of the regulator Olga Polyakova. Her application quotes RIA Novosti.
“If we talk about the category of citizens of low-income, we propose to develop a mechanism for creating a special bank deposit for people with low incomes,” Polyakova told.
The contribution rate for the poor, as expected, will be tied to the key boss of the Central Bank or inflation. A person will be able to make only one such contribution, and the amount will be limited.
In early November, it was reported that Russian banks raised the cost of paying interest on deposits in the third quarter for the first time in two years. According to banking reports, in the third quarter, depositors from among individuals received 223 billion rubles percent – five percent more than in the second quarter.
