Britain’s authorities plan to transfer part of the troops and hundreds of units of military equipment to Germany as part of large-scale transformations in the army in case of war with Russia. About it reports The Times.
Lieutenant-General Ralph Wooddiss, commander of the Ground Forces, told the publication that London will create new military bases in Germany, Kenya and Oman. According to him, these objects will help the country to prepare for possible armed conflicts.
“I do a special focus on Germany, where we put forward a significant number of our armored vehicles so that it is possible to move faster if it needs anywhere on the land part of the continent,” Wooddiss said. According to The Times, new units will include Challenger 3 tanks, Boxer armored personnel carriers, equipment for neutralizing mines, drones and artillery.
