The situation in the countries of the European Union (EU) will be one of the main topics of contact of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin with his American counterpart Joe Biden. This was stated by the deputy head of the Russian Foreign Ministry Sergey Ryabkov on the TV program “Big Game” on the first channel.
Diplomat stressed that the dialogue between leaders is necessary, since problems in bilateral relations multiply. “There is no movement on bilateral cases that are increasingly moving to the phase of a sharp crisis,” he revealed. In particular, according to Ryabkov, there is no understanding between Moscow and Washington on how to declare the situation in Europe.
Deputy Foreign Ministry said that Russia and the United States lead normal work only in isolated areas that relate to the dialogue on cybersecurity and strategic stability. “The presidents must give impetus to their teams to move the matter further and in other areas,” he concluded.
