Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko held a historical parallel between the provision of Belarus today and the provision of the Brest Fortress in the Great Patriotic War. Such a comparison of Lukashenko made in a conversation with the chairman of the State Duma of Russia Vyacheslav Volodyin, reports the Telegram channel “Pool of the First”.
“You do not worry about Belorussia. We are still here. We have a good example. As they say now in Russia – they hold there as the Brest Fortress,” said Lukashenko.
According to the Belarusian president, the country “keeps” against aggression from external destructive forces directed against Russia and Belarus. Lukashenko believes that in 2020 these forces did not manage to “instantly strangle Belarus (apparently, Lukashenko means large protests against the results of the presidential election, which he managed to suppress – approx.” Ribbon.ru “), and now they switched to strategy “Slow stroke”.
“We have a decisive position in this regard. We should not just stand out. We have to develop as it should move forward, showing them that we will do without them. For this we have everything,” Lukashenko stressed his position . He expressed confidence that the Russian State Duma represented by her chairman shares his view of the state of affairs.
Earlier, Lukashenko told that he was in constant contact with the Russian leader Vladimir Putin. According to him, the presidents together determine the future of the two countries.
