President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that the country for effective protection against a rocket attack is needed by Russian anti-aircraft missile systems C-400 or C-500. His words report RIA Novosti.
Lukashenko noted that the Belarusian air defense systems completely cover the boundaries, but at the same time stated that the Russian Sprink was also needed. “To be effective against a rocket attack, we need just C-400, and maybe since-500,” he noted.
He added that the decision on the posts of the complexes will take the Russian president Vladimir Putin.
In November, Alexander Lukashenko said that Minsk was interested in obtaining Russian missile systems “Iskander”, as they are needed in the Western and South directions.
