NATO has denied statements about plans to accommodate nuclear weapons in Europe

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg denied the statement that the Alliance has plans to place nuclear weapons in new European countries. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

“We have no plans to post nuclear weapons in other countries besides those in which it is already posted as part of the deterrence policy for many years,” said Stoltenberg.

In this way, he commented on the words of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, who called on Russia to accommodate nuclear weapons in his country, if NATO places warheads in Poland. Thus, he assured that nuclear weapons will not be in countries where it is not today.
