According to the head of Rostech, global inflation processes affect the growth of cars. “We do not invent all these numbers themselves, the market gives them,” Chemezov said. He told that prices had grown almost all raw materials: steel, plastics, metals and electronic components. In turn, Vice-President of AvtoVAZ on external relations and interaction with shareholders, Sergey Gromach explained that cars would rise in price due to the “explosive growth” of steel prices after completion of the export duties.
Department of Minogranting of Russia Vasily Shpak stated that the breaking of logistic chains in the supply of electronic components for the automotive industry will increase, and the problems associated with this will be more and more. He believes that the most important for the car market is the substitution of imports and the transition to Russian components.
