Effective remedy for bacteria

The scientists of the Perm National Research Polytechnic University and other scientific institutions have developed a new antibacterial agent, which is effective against microorganisms resistant to antibiotics. This is reported in a press release on the SDUNUKI website.rf.

Researchers proposed to use the antibacterial compound “Ca” based on isoquinoline together with low molecular weight cationic peptide of bacterial origin – Hominin. “CA” has a pronounced bactericidal action and by 50 percent reduces the “clutch” of bacteria with surrounding surfaces. The combination with Khominin significantly increases efficiency, while reducing the toxicity of both drugs.

This tool can be used to clean the surfaces from hazardous microorganisms, which can be resistant to other cleaners and disinfectants. Experiments have shown that the antibacterial compound is efficient and almost instantly neutralized by bacteria, both free-lived and in the form of films.
