American company Spacex beat the annual record of Falcon 9’s own launch launch records, reports Spacenews.
The publication notes that in 2021, as of December 3, 27 starts of such media were produced. The previous record, which includes 26 Falcon 9 launches, was installed in 2020.
Spagenews reminds that “many of the Falcon 9 missions in 2021 carried the payload for Starlink.”
In December in Twitter, the head of Spacex Ilon Mask reported that the company to reduce the likelihood of a collision with cosmic garbage changed the orbits of some Starlink satellites.
In November, Mask called the limit of the orbital flight of the Multi-Wine Transportation System StarShip, which is considered the largest rocket in the world. According to him, the system can go to orbit in January 2022. This will happen if Spacex has time to complete the construction of an appropriate starting area in Texas, to conduct the necessary tests of the rocket and get permission to launch from the Federal Department of US Civil Aviation.
In December last year, Asstechnica reported that Spacex in 2020, despite the Pandemic COVID-19, broke his own record of 2018 in terms of rocket launches.
