The leader of the “Taliban” radical movement (a terrorist organization prohibited in Russia) Haybatulla Ahundzad ordered to take measures to ensure the rights of women in Afghanistan. His words were transferred in a statement, which published a spokesman for the movement of Zabilella Mujahid, RIA Novosti reports.
Taliban leader called a woman a noble and free person and stressed that she is not property. “No one can give it to anyone else in exchange for the conclusion of a peace agreement or termination of hostility,” he said. The representative of the militants demanded that the theologians note that the oppression of women would cause the anger of Allah.
In the decree of Akhundzad, forbade the Afghan women to marry forcibly and secured the right to determine his future. He also endowed widow the right to inherit the ownership of her husband, father, children and other family members. The leader of the movement obliged the department, the Supreme Court and local administrations to inform citizens about women’s rights.
On November 21, it became known that the Taliba obliged women-TV presenters to wear hijab. Also, in the coach of new rules, the media recalled the need to refrain from the demonstration of dramatic films and programs with actress women and the show of Afghan and foreign films, which promote “inappropriate ethical norms.”
