Proton-PM automated tests of automation aggregates for NGO Energomash

Proton-PM (included in the integrated NGO structure of Energomash Roscosmos State Corporation) automated the four booths of pneumo-hydrotypes of automation aggregates on naphthyl included in the design of rocket engines. Works began in 2019 and were conducted in parallel with other projects to modernize the test base of the Surgean and Production Association “Energomash” named after Academician V.P. Glushko.

During the test, the real operation of automation aggregates in the rocket engine is simulated. Wide nomenclature is tested: chokes and regulators, valves and fittings, ampoules and starting tanks. Different conditions are created: from testing the strength and tightness before determining the resource with multiple responses at different temperatures.

Alexander Zyryanov, Head of automated control systems for technical process control systems (SAUTP) Proton-PM: “Proton-PM development systems ensure the visibility of the testing process. The control panels are made in the form of mneophem, which gives the operator a more understandable idea of the interaction of poster systems, minimizing human Factor and improving test quality. We also improved the process of measuring process parameters – it automatically changes the frequency of registration depending on the type of experiment. “

In the implementation of the project, the experience of creating similar products for Proton-PM workshops was useful. Having become acquainted with the objects of automation and examining the maintenance of the Customer, the Ossutp staff began to design and prepare the specifications of the equipment, assembling systems, software development and writing operational documentation. During the project, the project required the refinement of the stands themselves: they installed new component level sensors in the tanks.

Pavl Sukhinin, Deputy Head of the NGO Energomash Test Department: “Cooperation with Proton-PM specialists – a guarantee of successful modernization of NGO Energomash stands, each of which exists in a single instance. For such automation objects, typical solutions are not suitable. Here are unique systems, Which protons can be designed, collecting and implementing. This is facilitated by significant experience of perm in the creation of ACS for testing engines and gas turbine installations, as well as their aggregates. “
