A group of scientists from the United States and Great Britain found out the likely cause of thrombosis, which in some cases were recorded after vaccination against coronavirus infection by Astrazeneca. This is stated in the study published in Science Advances Scientific Journal.
According to experts, the formation of thromboms can affect how the adenovirus, which is used in the AstraZeneca vaccine to transfer the genetic material of infection into cells, is associated with a specific protein in the blood known as the thrombocharger factor 4 (PF4). It is noted that the binding process causes a chain reaction in the immune system, which leads to the formation of blood clots.
Scientists emphasized that thrombosis after vaccination appear in extremely rare cases, since the whole chain of complex events should occur for their occurrence.
previously became known that in Russia the production of the drug from Coronavirus Astrazeneca began. This was announced by the First Deputy Minister of Industry and Russian Trade Vasily Osmakov. The release of the Pharmaceutical Company “R-Farm” is engaged. According to him, the use of only domestic vaccines will continue on the Russian market.
