Government has allocated additional six billion on social range for children

The Russian government will send further more than six billion rubles for social benefits to families with children aged three to seven years. This is stated in the relevant decision published on the government website.

The amount of payment will be 50, 75 and even 100 percent of the subsistence minimum on the child in the region where the family lives.

“Such support is very important, because we are talking about small children who grow in families where there are material difficulties,” said Mikhail Mishutin Prime Minister Mikhail Mishutin.

He explained that this year, almost 305 billion rubles were allocated to the social support of poor families with preschool children.

In early November, in Russia, they were offered to the government to consider a new mechanism for payments for children. In particular, it is proposed to open bank accounts for newborns and charge the money they can take advantage after 18 years. It is noted that such a practice has already been adopted in a number of oil-producing countries and such accounts will help stimulate fertility in Russia and will give parents confidence in the future of children.
