Roskosmos State Corporation continues operational monitoring of emergency situations around the world by means of the Russian orbital grouping. As part of the commission of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, round-the-clock operational monitoring of the flood and fire hazardous environment, as well as other natural and man-made disasters, is organized.
In the period from November 25 to December 2, 2021, the situation was monitored in the Sverdlovsk region. In the interests of the International Charter on Space and large catastrophes, the consequences of the eruption of the underwater volcano in the Philippines were monitored. Based on media reports on natural and man-made catastrophes around the world, the space photography in India and Spain was planned.
In total, in the reporting period, Russian data in the amount of about 39 thousand square meters was transferred to the EMERCOM of Russia. km. In the International Charter on Space and Large Catastrophes during the reporting period, data was transferred in the amount of about 28 thousand square meters. km.
Roskosmos State Corporation supports operational interaction with the EMERCOM of Russia for timely response to the occurrence of a flood and fire-hazardous situation and the implementation of space monitoring of the affected territories.
