The preparation of the MS-19 Transport Cargo Ship is continuing to flight under the program of the 80th Logistics Mission of the International Space Station. On Wednesday, the ship was delivered to an escaper chamber of the installation and test case No. 254 of the Baikonur cosmodrome for autonomous electrical tests.
The echoam chamber is a specialized room coated from the inside by the radio absorbing material in order to simulate the conditions of outer space. Today, December 2, 2021, specialists of the Rocket and Space Corporation “Energy” named after S.P. The Queen and Space Center “South” (branch of the center of exploitation of objects of ground-based space infrastructure, both are included in the state corporation “Roskosmos”) performed operations on land testing of the functioning of the onboard radiotechnical equipment of the program “Progress MS-19”. After completion of the test, the ship will be installed on the workplace of the assembly and test case to prepare for pneumatic testers.
Start of the Soyuz-2.1A carrier missile with the MS-19 Progress Cargo Ship is scheduled for February 2022 from Baikonur cosmodrome.
