Belarus and Russia promised integration jerk

Belarusian political scientist Alexander Shpakovsky promised Russia and Belarus a higher level of integration than in the countries of the European Union. According to him, which leads RIA Novosti, Minsk and Moscow has a chance to make an integration jerk, which will positively affect the economy of the two countries.

“The Union State has a chance to make an integration jerk. If this jerk is committed and if the deadlines that are laid in the Allied Programs will be withstanding, the degree of our convergence in the economy will be higher than in the EU,” said Shpakovsky.

Political analyst positively assessed the role of integration for the economy of Belarus. According to him, in the short term, an additional increase in the country’s GDP will be 1.5 percent per year. For Russia, the rapprochement of the economies will also play not the last role, Schepakovsky is confident. “For Russia, the effect will be quite high due to the fact that Belarus is the third, sometimes the fourth foreign trade partner of the Russian Federation. Turnover this year will be at the level of 37-38 billion dollars, it has grown in comparison with the last year by 35 percent,” he noted.

Russian and Belarus President Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko signed 28 road maps to integrate two countries in early November. As a result of their implementation of the country, there will be more close relations in the trade and economic, defense and migration sphere.
