The period of a sharp increase in gas prices in Europe and the so-called gas crisis in the region almost ended, the economist Andrei Kolganov believes. In a conversation with “Tape.ru,” he said that the role in the resolution of the situation will not play even the possible impression of the “Northern Flow-2” – the EU has a sufficient amount of alternative pipelines.
Even the word “crisis” itself, as the economist believes, is an exaggeration – speech, according to him, went rather about the temporary increase in gas prices.
“Gazprom project creates more access, but is not so critical. So the situation is not so serious to talk about the crisis. There was a temporary increase in prices due to the ratio of supply and supply of gas. But this period is suitable By the end, the situation is normalized. And it’s no longer dependent on the launch or non-invision of the “Northern Flow-2”, “the Kolganov concluded.
The economist stressed that, despite the fact that a formally crisis has already ended, it is impossible to correct the prices that prices are definitely impossible. Circumstances are minimized and may arise anyhow.
Construction of “Northern Flow-2” ended on September 10. In early November, the Ministry of Economy and Energy, Germany reported that the process of certification of the gas pipeline continues, the completion date of the procedure is still unknown.
