Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov flew to India, where on Monday, December 6, negotiations of foreign ministers and defense of the Russian Federation and India will take place. This was announced by the official representative of the department Maria Zakharov in his Telegram channel.
“Almost at midnight local time the Russian Foreign Minister arrived in Delhi. Tomorrow, the day will begin with the negotiations of foreign ministers and the defense of our countries. And then the bilateral summit will be held,” Zakharov wrote.
As clarified on the Russian Foreign Ministry website, negotiations of the heads of foreign policy and defense departments of countries will be held in the format of “two plus two”. They will discuss key regional stories, including the situation in the Asia-Pacific region and Central Asia.
Earlier, the Russian Ambassador to New Delhi Nikolai Kudeshev said that during the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to India on December 6 between countries, agreements in the areas of defense, space, transport, science and technology and education will be concluded.
