Start of the Soyuz-2.1A launch vehicle with a transport piloted ship “Union MS-20” is scheduled for December 8, 2021 at 10:38 Moscow time. The main crew includes: the commander Alexander Misurkin (Roscosmos) and the participants of the space flight – the President of the Start Tudai Corporation “Yusaka Maesava and his personal assistant Jozo Hirano. Soyuz-2.1a carrier rocket is a three-stage medium-class rocket, which is a modified version (stage of upgrading – 1a) of the Value-U carrier rocket. Designed to ensure the launches of military, national and social spacecraft.
The carrier rocket was developed and manufactured in the Progress Rocket and Space Center (Samara, is part of the state corporation “Roscosmos”). It is equipped with a new digital control system, one for all three steps, as well as a new digital radiotelemetric measurement system.
