Specialists revealed the common habit of Russians during preparation for the new year. The results of the study conducted by the Delivery Club food delivery service and the ResearchMe Analytical Center, entered the editor of the “Renta.ru” on Monday, December 13.
The survey took part 1500 inhabitants of Russia cities with the population of over 100 thousand people over 16 years old. So, almost 40 percent of respondents noted that they prepare for the New Year’s table or only part of the dishes, or do not do this. Most of them (73 percent) hope that their relatives will stand behind the stove.
In addition, more than half of the respondents said that over the past 5-10 years, their habits in preparation have changed for the new year. Thus, the tradition independently prepare dishes for a festive table began to gradually leave since 2011. Now almost every fourth abandoned (24 percent) buys ready-made food in the store or orders it to the house. At the same time, for women, food delivery is a more preferred option than for men.
Most often for the New Year’s table, the Russians order dishes of Italian and Russian cuisine, and the time freed from cooking is mainly carried out with family and friends, for watching entertainment shows and films, preparation for the holiday or cleaning.
Earlier in December, the Russians listed the most unsuccessful gifts for the new year. According to the survey, the widths of the wardrobe were the most unsuccessful: T-shirts, bathrobes and socks. This conclusion came 5 percent of respondents.
