German Foreign Minister Annala Berbok uses the Private Energy Project “Northern Stream-2” (SP-2) as a tool of political negotiations, exposing the country. The deputy of the Bundestag on International Affairs from the Party “Alternatives for Germany” Stefan Coyuter criticized the head of the FRG Foreign Minister on the impossibility of approving the launch of the pipeline, reports the newspaper “Izvestia”.
“It is unclear, whose interests here represent Ms. Berbok, but obviously not the interests of the population of Germany. I am afraid that with the new federal government the relationship between Russia and Germany will deteriorate, what I am deeply sorry,” the politician noted.
Earlier, Berbble reported that the Russian gas pipeline “Northern Stream-2” at the moment cannot be approved, as it does not comply with the norms of European energy legislation. The Federal Network Agency (German regulator) suspended the certification of the pipeline, since before starting the project, it is necessary to create a legal separation between the “Northern Flow-2” owner, the operator and energy supplier.
