The jury members made a prudent verdict four defendants in the case of the “Embassy cocaine” – smuggling of cocaine from Argentina to Russia. Interfax reports this with reference to the statement of the press service of the Sourmilovsky Court of Moscow.
Figures of the case – Andrei Kovalchuk, Viktor Kalmykova, Ali Abiana and Ishtimir Khudjamov – presented charges in an attempt on the smuggling of narcotic drugs and on articles on the attempt on illegal production, sales or shipment of narcotic drugs in particularly large amounts.
At the same time, the jury believe that the accused is worthy of condescension. As the lawyer Sergey Yurosh notes, their voices were divided with four for two.
