Two Russian satellites “Express” are bred in orbit

On Monday, December 13, 2021, at 15:07 Moscow time from the Baikonur cosmodrome, a successful launch of Proton-M carrier missile was performed. After 18 hours and 7 minutes, the overclocking block “Breeze-M” delivered Russian communication satellites “Express-AMU3” and “Express AMU7” to target orbits with a minimum height of 18.7 thousand kilometers and a maximum of 52.8 thousand kilometers.

During the elimination, five planned inclusions of the march motor installation of the accelerated block were performed. Currently, both Russian telecommunications satellites have been taken to managing the launch customer.

Cost-based spacecraft will be carried out using two SPD-100V and one SPD-140D engines. It is combined with bringing the devices to the operating point, which allows minimizing the input period of satellites to staff operation. The term of granting a satellite “Express-Am7” will be no more than 56 days, and “Express-AMU3” – no more than 59 days.

Express-AMU3 and Express-Amu7 spacecraft manufactured by the company “Information Satellite Systems named after academician M.F. Reshetnyova” (part of the state corporation “Roskosmos”) on the basis of the Satellite Platform “Express-1000N” satellite platform. It is expected that they will work for 15 years (17 years old – technical resource) on a geostationary orbit at 103 ° and 145 ° points of East longitude, respectively (nominally). They are designed to provide fixed and mobile services, digital broadcasting, high-speed Internet access, as well as data transfer in Russia and in CIS countries in C, KU and L – ranges.

The Breeze-M acceleration unit is designed and manufactured by the State Space Scientific and Production Center named after M.V. Khrunichev (enters Roscosmos). Used to start with a heavy Proton-M carrier launch. Provides the removal of spacecraft to low, medium, high and geostationary orbits. “Breeze M” consists of a central block and an additional discharged fuel tank. As part of the Proton-M carrier rocket, useful loads of up to 3.3 tons for geostationary orbit, and on a geo-order orbit – more than 6 tons.
