MP of the European Parliament Thierry Mariani compared the attitude of France to the scandal around the breakdown of the transaction about the delivery of the submarine of Australia with the behavior of a dog’s broken. In an interview with Lente.ru, the French politician stressed that in just a few weeks after the scandal, President Emmanuel Macron met the warmth of US Vice President Camala Harris in Paris and as if at all forgot about the incident.
“Unfortunately, France led herself like a dog that is hugging, she will sit offended in the corner, and in a couple of hours it licks your hands again,” said Mariani.
ERGEPUTAT stressed that although the topic of the three-sided cooperation between the United States, Great Britain and Australia (Aukus) was widely discussed by the public and the media, soon they will take advantage of it – just as forgotten about the velves of the Americans of French politicians.
Earlier, Australia ruined a contract with France to build a submarine in the amount of 66 billion dollars. The decision followed after the signing of a new partnership in the field of defense and security between the United States, Britain and Australia, which involves the creation of nuclear submarines for the Navy Australia for 18 months. The contract was called Aukus (Australia, United Kingdom, USA). The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of France Jean-Yves Drian called the actions of Canberra “unacceptable behavior between allies and partners.”
