Poland Prime Minister Mateus Murezhetsky threatened Belarus by introducing new sanctions in case of an escalation of the situation on the border with the European Union (EU). He stated this at the meeting of the heads of government of the Countries of the Vishendsk Group (Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic) with the President of France Emmanuel Makron, reports TASS.
According to him, Minsk, accurately, fears economic restrictive measures, trade blockade. The prime minister noted that Warsaw has seized these tools, and if necessary, it will not pull with a proposal to introduce new sanctions against Belarus.
In addition, Morrazetsky said that at the moment the escalation of the crisis is not observed, and this allows you to hope for the best. The prime minister also stressed that if it is developed or Moscow and Minsk will look for new mechanisms for destabilization of Europe, the EU will be represented by decisive answers to such actions.
Earlier, the official representative of the new government of Germany Steffen Hebhestrate said that the German government does not consider the Belarusian President of Alexander Lukashenko legitimate leader in Belarus. “We do not consider Lukashenko as a legitimate ruler in Belarus,” said Hebhestrate at Briefing in Berlin. Thus, the current leadership of Germany changed the course and ceased to consider Lukashenko as a legal president of Belarus.
