Lukashenko neglected terms of integration with Russia

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko refused to call the deadlines for the implementation of contracts for integration with Russia. In an interview with TRT, he stated that the republic does not put specific terms, transfers “BelTA” in its Telegram channel.

“We do not set any deadlines – the 2025th, 2030 or some year there. We will go step by step, solving problems,” said the Belarusian president. Neglecting terms, Lukashenko noted that he intends to build an alliance with Russia more “powerful, advanced and thoughtful” than was the USSR or is EU.

remembered Lukashenko and about other integration projects in which Belarus is involved. In particular, he mentioned the Eurasian Economic Union and the Commonwealth of Independent States. However, according to the president, these unions are less “deep” than the Union State of Russia and Belarus.

Previously, the Belarusian leader made a comparison of the current position of the country with the provision of the Brest Fortress in the Great Patriotic War. “You do not worry about Belorussia. We are still here. We have a good example. As now in Russia they say – they hold there, as the Brest Fortress,” said Lukashenko.
