Scientists of the Riken Research Institute in Japan predicted the existence of a particle consisting of six quarks. This is reported in the article published in the magazine Physical Review Letters.
quarks are called fundamental particles that form heavier particles – mesons (consist of an equal number of quarks and antiquarks) and bariones (consist of three quarks). Bariones include protons and neutrons contained in the composition of atomic nuclei. It is assumed that there may be systems of two barionees – dibarions. The deuterium atom core is considered as Dibarion, but in this case the barions are poorly connected with each other.
Researchers were calculated using a supercomputer forces acting between two hypothetical baryons, each of which consists of three fascinated quarks. Charm is a quantum number (also called aroma), describing one of the six types of quarks. It turned out that there may be a dibarion designated by the authors as Enchanted Di Omega (English Charm Di-Omega) and consisting immediately of six fascinated quarks.
