Poland and Germany toughen sanctions against Belarus

Heads of Government of Germany and Poland discussed new sanctions against Belarus. This was announced by the Polish Prime Minister Mateush Morrazetsky after a meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Scholts, RIA Novosti reports.

At the meeting in Warsaw politicians discussed the situation in the eastern border of Poland. Morrazhetsky presented to Scholesu “Changing Tactics” of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko “in relation to the use of people like a living shield” during each night.

Morrazhetsky added that he discussed with a colleague new potential sanctions against Belarus, which to consider at the EU meeting. According to him, countries decided to toughen measures against the country.

“Real economic sanctions. We are decisive in protecting our oriental borders,” Poland Prime Minister stressed.

In early December, the European Union, United States, United Kingdom and Canada declared about new sanctions against Belarus. EU restrictions touched 183 Belarusian physicals and 26 organizations. Washington and London introduced a ban on their citizens and institutions to cooperate with Belaruscali. Canada’s sanctions spread to 24 physical and seven legal entities from Belarus.
