Iran wants to obtain a guarantee that the United States will completely cancel all sanctions against Tehran and will not come out again from the joint comprehensive action plan (IRPD) on the Iranian nuclear program. This was announced by the permanent representative of Iran under the UN Majid Taht-Ravanchi at the UN Security Council. It quotes TASS.
“It is obvious that Iran should be sure that all sanctions will be removed, the United States will not come out of the UNDPD again and will not violate the procedures specified there in resolutions [UN Security Council] 2231,” said the diplomat for the meeting.
Taht-Ravanch stressed that the Iranian delegation in Vienna is seriously and well prepared to “mean and constructively” to interact with other parties to the negotiation process. He noted that she hopes to see the same approach and in foreign colleagues.
Previously, the postprared of the United States in the UN Linda Thomas Greenfield stated that Washington was ready to take off the sanctions from Iran, which are contrary to the joint comprehensive action plan. According to her, US President Joe Biden expressed Washington’s readiness to return to the conditions of the Iranian nuclear transaction, provided that Iran will behave the same way.
