Central Bank will raise key bid in seventh time in a row

At the meeting on December 17, the Bank of Russia announced another increase in the key rate, the Russian newspaper writes. The indicator will grow in the seventh time due to accelerating inflation. The specific figure was not indicated, but analysts unanimously believe that the Central Bank raises the rate to the maximum level in the previously indicated range.

Head of the Central Bank Elvira Nabiullina has already hinted at the next raising rate on December 17th. It designated the growth range of the indicator from zero to one percentage point. Preservation of the rates at the same level or an increase in the minimum 0.25 percentage points of Nabiullin called unlikely.

The raising cycle began in March due to rising prices – the indicator has shifted from a historic minimum of 4.25 percent. Now the bet is 7.5 percent, the last increase of 0.75 percentage points occurred in September.
