The biggest challenge for the Russian economy is the energy transition. So, the head of the Accounts Chamber Alexey Kudrin was named, RIA Novosti reports.
Russia lives well, and that welfare, and the level of import opportunities that we carry out at the expense of our currency resources, not our competitiveness in technologies, in industry, in services, and oil production, “he said. Kudrin clarified that hydrocarbons will be required for ten more years, but they will have to be partially replaced by industrial goods and services. “The challenge to the government, in front of our economy is very large,” the head of the Accounts Chamber has concluded.
Previously, the Special Representative of the President of the Country Relations with International Organizations on Sustainable Development Activities Anatoly Chubais warned that Russia should go along the path of the energy transfer, otherwise she will have to face radical loss of exporting its goods to the European Union. In his opinion, the current problems in relations with Europe due to the prepared cross-border carbon tax do not go into any comparison with those that will arise due to the total “green course” of the EU.
Also, Chubais also said that the revolution in the energy industry would be a reason for the emergency change of world elites. In his opinion, global country regrouping is coming in the world, and the new list of leaders will be formed no later than the late 2020s. Next, he believes, these countries will go into a gap and will remain unattainable in the XXI and, possibly, the XXII centuries.
