The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Foreign Ministry) of the Transnistrian Moldavian Republic (PMR) accused Moldavian authorities in a rough violation of the rights and freedoms of Russian citizens who followed the territory of the country in Transnistria. This is stated in a statement agency published on his official website.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that Russian citizens were sent to Transnistria with different goals, including – to observe the election of the head of the republic, which should pass on December 12. In particular, according to the department, the Moldovan authorities were not allowed in the PMR representative of the Russian Chamber of Russia Vladimir Zhuravleva and a member of the Council under the President of Russia for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights Alexander Brody.
Diplomats also appealed to international participants in the settlement of the situation in Transnistria “5 + 2” with a call to give an estimate “Chisinau attempts to prevent electoral processes” in the PMR and demanded from Moldova to “stop provocations” against Russian citizens.
Previously, from Chisinau Airport, the first deputy director of the CIS Institute, Doctor of Historical and Economic Sciences, Professor Vladimir Egorov was deported. Prior to this, the Russian political scientist Natalia Narotnitskaya was refused to allow the territory of Moldova. In both cases, the authorities of the country refused to call the reasons for the expulsion of Russian citizens.
