Poland Foreign Minister Zbignev Rau met with the new German Foreign Minister Annalenoy Berbok in the framework of negotiations with the new German government and put forward several demands. In particular, the official Warsaw intends to seek the closure of the Northern Stream-2 project. This is reported by Reuters according to the results of a press conference between diplomats.
Rau is confident that due to the cooperation of the former government of the Federal Republic of Germany with Russia, Europe had to face a number of threats. Polish minister also reminded that Warsaw repeatedly demanded from Berlin to stop construction, because it “can damage relations between countries.”
In addition, Rau recalled that the Polish side expects repairing reparations for damage caused during World War II.
Poland’s Prime Minister Mateeush Murezetski also plans to convince the new Chancellor of the German Ferg Scholz in the unfortunate of the North Stream-2 gas pipeline. The meeting of two politicians will take place on December 12 in Warsaw.
