In November, the subscription fee for the package of cellular services in Russia has risen in price by 2.4 percent compared with October performance. The average tariff size for such services in November increased in price by 1.6 percent compared with 2020 and amounted to 391.6 rubles, RBC reports with reference to Rosstat data.
Cellular communication in Russia for the first time has risen in price in more than one percent after a long break. So, in the period from January to May 2020, prices soared more than 10 percent – from 344.2 to 384.2 rubles. Before November 2021 Rosstat recorded an increase in the cost of such services by no more than 0.34 percent per month. At some periods of communication prices even fell.
Rising prices at the beginning of 2020 led to the fact that in general for the 11 months of this year the size of the tariff for cellular services in Russia by 2.6 percent exceeded the same indicator 2020, despite almost stable prices throughout the year. It is noted that operators have raised the cost of their services against the background of increasing inflation in the country.
The representative of VimpelCom stressed that the rates for servants of mobile operators “generally did not change significantly” for a long time despite the significant investments of companies “in the modernization of infrastructure for the introduction and development of new services and services.”
“In Russia, communication services are among the most affordable in the world, which clearly shows the level of service penetration. Plus, in our telecom-market there was a high level of competition that allows you to balance the market as a whole,” the informer emphasized.
Previously, the researchers called three conditions for the loyalty of cellular subscribers. The most important of them is the compliance of the price and quality of the services provided.
