Latvia: calculated dismissed due to requirements of vaccination from COVID-19 teachers

From November 15, more than 600 teachers quit from Latvia schools. The care process intensified after the introduction of compulsory vaccination requirements against COVID-19 for the staff of the education system. The number was calculated in the Latvian Union of Self-Government in the Latvian Union, said an adviser to forming Inar Dundur for LSM.lv.

about a third of the past employees called the reasons for dismissal unwillingness to vaccinately vaccinated. Most of the leaving Schools of Latvia are young teachers who go away from “burnout.” The teacher’s team of the Baltic Republic will age – 10 years ago the number of new teachers in schools was twice as much. The main load in the end falls on the “veterans” of education.

In connection with the beginning of the personnel crisis of schools and kindergartens, they are forced to literally compete for teachers, but the demand for such vacancies is very low. “We are looking for on your friends, maybe someone does not work – and there is a vaccination. Maybe a month will rest, they will get at home – and they will decide that it is necessary to return. I hope,” I shared the director of kindergarten from Riga Galina Alimov.

The entire educational sphere of Latvia predicts a loss of up to a thousand specialists because of the new government measures. “About a thousand employees in the sector will stop working in schools, in kindergartens,” the head of the Education Workers’ and Science of Inga Vanaga said.
