Assistant President Yuri Ushakov appreciated the prospects for the full-time meeting of the Russian leader Vladimir Putin and US President Joe Bayden. His words report RIA Novosti.
According to Ushakov, in the future, the meeting of the presidents at the neutral territory is possible. “Personal meeting, of course, the most productive type of diplomatic work and both president understand this,” he said. However, during the last conversation, the leaders of the countries did not discuss this issue.
As Ushakov noted, earlier the parties agreed on the organization of video conference. “It was useful and such a format,” he noted. After that, Russia and the United States agreed to think about the possibility to organize a meeting of the presidents “somewhere on the neutral territory in the future.”
Negotiations Joe Bayden and Vladimir Putin were held on December 7th. The Russian leader has contacted the American president from his residence in Sochi. Putin arrived there from New Delhi, where he was visiting.
