Agro MSU Saul Omarova removed his candidacy for the position in the American government. A native of the USSR no longer claims to be the head of the US Department of Currency Control in the Ministry of Finance, reports Reuters.

According to the press service of the White House, published on Tuesday, December 7, US President Joe Biden satisfied the request of Omarova to revoke her candidacy.

Earlier it was reported that in the case of the appointment, the MSU graduate could be the first woman who headed the Office, for 158 years of its existence. At the same time, the candidacy of Omarov criticized Republicans and representatives of the banking sector.
