On December 1, the European Union approves the fifth package of sanctions against Belarus. It is reported by “Radio Liberty” (recognized by the Ministry of Justice of Russia an Inense) with reference to the source in Brussels.
According to media reports, 17 officials and 11 organizations from Belarus have fallen into a new list of sanctions. Restrictive measures will take effect from the date of signing and publication of the relevant document.
It is also noted that for this, the European Council has amended the criteria for imposing sanctions and allowed them to introduce them against physical, legal entities and government agencies that organize or promote the illegal intersection of the borders of the EU member states or smuggling of goods into the territory of the European Union. / P>
In particular, the restrictive measures touched the Chairman of the State Border Committee (Code of Civil Procedure) of Belarus of Anatoly Lapo, the head of the Grodno Protection of Konstantin Magostov, the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic Anatoly Eyes and the head of the ONT Marat Marat.
Among the companies that were under the sanctions – the airline “Belavia”, the Travel agency “Center Resort”, as well as enterprises “Grodno Nitrogen” and “BelarusNeft”.
On the intention of the European Union, new sanctions against Minsk became known on November 9. The EU and NATO accused President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to use migrants as an instrument of hybrid attacks and pressure on Western countries. It is planned that new measures will be aimed at Belarusian officials who, according to Brussels, organized a migration crisis on the Eastern Borders of the EU.
