Five Russian-speaking schools in Tajikistan cost Russia for a large amount

Russia will spend up to 150 million dollars for the construction of Russian-speaking schools in Tajikistan. The Deputy Chairman of the Government of Russia Alexey Overchuk, Deputy Chairman of the Government of Russia, was told about the expenditures for the construction of institutions during his visit to the republic, says Sputnik.

The Russian delegation holds a series of negotiations in Tajikistan. Representatives of the Parties have already signed an agreement on education, which ensures the possibility of Russian educators to teach in Tajikistan. And by September 1, 2022, five Russian-speaking schools should open in the Central Asian republic, each of which cost the Russian side into a large sum.

Educational institutions will appear in the capital of Tajikistan Dushanbe, as well as in the cities of Kulyab, Bochtar, Tursun-Zade and Khujand. Each school will be able to take up to 1,200 students, and the teaching staff will consist of Russian and Tajik teachers.

“Of course, the curriculum will be adapted to the needs of Tajikistan, but it will be a Russian program. It will be a joint team and children will receive a good quality education,” said Overchuk.

Earlier, Russia invited Tajikistan to help to strengthen the defense capacity of the southern border, said Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Andrei Rudenko. The help was offered against the background of the parish of the Taliban (“Taliban”, the organization was recognized as extremist and prohibited in Russia) in neighboring Afghanistan.
