Platform users by 601 percent more often were looking for the word “vaccine” in 2021, and the number of requests for this word increased by 1048 percent.
In the top ten, the words “rebellion”, “perseverance” were also in popularity (the name of the Marsochode, which became a sensation in 2021), “aware” (in the United States is used to describe people preaching alert attitude to racial or social oppression), “Nomad”, “Infrastructure”, “Cycade”, “Murraya Tree”, “Cisgender”, “Guardian” and “Meta”.
The “Vedomosti” edition notes that in 2019 the title of the word of the year according to the version of Merriam-Webster received the pronoun “they” (appeal to people who do not identify themselves only as a man or a woman). In 2020, such a word was a noun “pandemic.”
