The Ministry of Economic Development has published two draft government decrees on the reform of the approach to the problem of monogenic. This is reported by Kommersant.
Office proposes to establish the criteria for which certain settlements can be attributed to monogors. In particular, it is planned to strike out from the list of the city, which are located closer than 50 kilometers from the capitals of the regions. According to estimates, residents of such monoglodes can get to the centers within an hour, leveling tension in the labor market of the monogorod.
So the number of monoglodes will be reduced from 321 to 163. It is noted that innovations will allow to allocate funds for salvation and support of the remaining monogenesis.
It is also assumed to remove restrictions on the benefits of the territories of advanced development for monogenic. Instead of a closed list of opportunities for their receipt, the ministry proposes only restrictions on the support of monoprontations in a standard scheme for residents and prohibiting the production of the excisable goods.

The question of the reduction of the number of monoglodes is discussed since 2019. A monogenic is considered to be a settlement, in which at least 20 percent of the working population is employed at the city-forming enterprise.
