Angela Merkel, the acting Chancellor of Germany, helped the Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, agreeing to him to call during the migration crisis on the border of Belarus and the EU. This was stated by the Poland Prime Minister Mateush Morrazetsky, RIA Novosti reports.
“The European Union should participate in the search for a diplomatic solution. But when Chancellor Merkel called Mr. Lukashenko, she contributed to the legitimization of his regime, although the struggle for free Belarus is already 15 months,” the Merkel politician criticized.
Morrazhetsky added that Lukashenko used the call of the head of the Federal Republic of Germany in his own interests – she pretended that she was ready to take in Germany and other countries of migrants who were on the border of Belarus with Poland and the Baltic countries.
The EU was previously stated that during conversations with Merkel Lukashenko put forward an ultimatum: the resolution of the migration crisis in exchange for recognizing the results of last year’s elections, which he, according to official data, won, and removal of sanctions.
