The first president of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev will give the acting leader of the country Kasym-Zhomartu Tokayev post leader of the ruling party “Nur Otan”. This was announced in the twitter Press Secretary Nazarbayeva Aidos Ukibay.
“During the advanced meeting of the Political Council, Nursultan Nazarbayev decided to transfer the powers of the Chairman of the Nur Otan Party, stressing that the party must head the President of the country. The transfer procedure will be carried out in accordance with the Charter of the Party,” said Ukibay.
Nursultan Nazarbayev resigned from the post of President of Kazakhstan in March 2019, having spent almost 30 years in power. He wears the title of the leader of the nation (Ebbasi), and also remains a life-long chapter of the Security Council.
In April 2021, Nazarbayev decided to convey to Tokayev a fair post of head of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan (ANC).
