The European Commission (EC) is ready to allocate up to 3.5 million assistance to return illegal migrants to their homeland from Belarus. This was stated by the head of the European Commission of Ursula Von der Lyien, reports Reuters.
“more and more migrants are trapped, and we will cooperate with UN agencies to facilitate their return home. We will provide up to 3.5 million euros to support voluntary return from Belarus,” she said.
Earlier Ursula Dir Lyien, due to the exacerbation of the migration crisis, the border of Belarus and the countries of Eastern Europe proposed to create a blacklist for carriers of illegal immigrants. It is assumed that special measures will be accomplished against them, which will continue to reduce the migration flow. According to the head of the EC, all countries of the European Union converge that the Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko deliberately provokes aggravation of the crisis.
The migration crisis on the border of the Belarusian and the European Union began at the end of May. Large groups of illegal migrants from Africa and the Middle East began to storm the borders of Lithuania, Poland and Latvia in the hope of getting refuge. It was alleged that Minsk uses his national tour operator “Centerkurort” for migrant moving to the EU borders and earns on it.
