The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Bulgaria Boyko Rashev admitted that the picture of the consequences of an accident, in which more than 40 passengers of the bus were killed. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
“Not everyone can endure this sight. I have never seen anything like this. It is difficult to even understand how many people burned there,” the minister said. He also assured that on the fact of an accident with dozens of victims, a detailed investigation will be held.
The accident occurred on November 23 at 3 am, near the village of Bosnek in the Pernik region. The bus with 52 passengers was headed from Istanbul to Northern Macedonia. When the accident happened, the car caught fire, as a result of which 46 people were killed, including 12 children.
All the dead were citizens of Northern Macedonia. According to the Bulgarian authorities, the main causes of the accident could be wet road, the technical malfunction of the bus and the driver fell behind the wheel. Also, investigators allowed the bus to light up before the accident.
