On the Baikonur cosmodrome, the overall assembly of the space appointment missile was completed in the “Soyuz-2.1b” carrier rocket and the MM-MM-MO-MO-MODE transport ship. The State Commission then decided to export on the starting complex on November 21, 2021.
On Friday, November 19, at the first stage of the work, a docking of a space head (with a “truck” under the flaps of the fairing) with the third stage of the Soyuz-2.1B carrier missile, then this assembly was docked to the “package” from the first and the second stages of the carrier. Upon completion of the mechanical assembly, electrical connections and checks of the collected missile were carried out.
Later, a meeting of the State Commission on the readiness of the “Soyuz-2.1b” missile was held for exporting to the starting complex “East” and the beginning of work on preparing for launch. Having heard reports on the results of the tests, it was decided to export in the morning of November 21. The beginning of all the work is scheduled at 05:30 Moscow time, after which Roskosmos specialists will begin work on the schedule of the first starting day.
Start of the Soyuz-2.1b media missile with a nodal module “Pier” in the “Progress M-mind” transport cargo ship is scheduled for November 24, 2021. The “Pier” module is designed to expand the technical and operational capabilities of the Russian segment of the International Space Station.
The module’s ship should also deliver about 700 kg of various goods on board the ISS, including resource equipment and consumables, water treatment, medical monitoring and sanitary facilities, maintenance and repair tools, as well as standard diet for Crew 66th of the main expedition.
