Estonia will help Poland to reflect “hybrid attack” of Belarus

Estonia will send 100 servicemen to the Polish-Belarusian border to resolve the migration crisis. This was announced by the Minister of Defense of Estonia Calle Lanet, reports ERR.

According to him, Tallinn is ready to assist the Poles in the reflection of the “hybrid attack” of Belarus, which uses refugees to the pressure tool for the European Union (EU). The head of the defense department added that the division, which will be sent to the rescue of the Polish military, includes military personnel of the defense forces and officers of the military police.

Also, the minister noted, Estonia will help Poland to improve the possibilities of intelligence and give Warsaw several drones. “We expect that when you need help us, they will help us too,” said Laanet and reminded that Estonia was the first to support Lithuania in the summer, when the migration crisis was just beginning to flare up.

In early November, a migration crisis was aggravated on the eastern line of Belarus. Thousands of refugees from the countries of the Middle East approached barriers at the border and tried to penetrate the territory of the European Union.
