Poland’s authorities threatened to close the railway checkpoint (CAT) on the border with Belarus. This is reported by TASS with reference to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic.
Warsaw delivered Minsk an ultimatum and demanded that the situation with illegal migrants in the Polish-Belorussian border stabilized until November 21. “In the absence of an answer to this appeal, Poland, fearing the safety of the railway movement passing there and the risk associated with this catastrophe, will suspend the movement of trains through the border crossing in the forge,” said the department.
According to Polish Cabinet, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Poland Mariusha Kaminsky instructed the Chief Commandant of the Border Guard Service to apply to the Chairman of the State Border Committee of the Republic of Belarus General Anatoly Lappo with a letter calling for the settlement of the situation with migrants.
