Shares “Gazprom” fell after news about “Northern Stream-2”

Gazprom shares during trading on Tuesday, November 16, lost about 2 percent. The fall occurred on the background of the news on the suspension of the certification of the gas pipeline “Northern Stream-2”.

previously became known that Germany suspended the process of certification of the gas pipeline as an independent transport operator due to organizational and legal issues. As the Federal Network Agency of Germany installed, “the certification of the NORD STREAM 2 pipeline operator can only be considered if the operator has a legal form in accordance with German law.” The process will resume when the operator with headquarters in the Swiss city of Zug will transmit basic capital concerning the pipeline, in the property of the German “daughter”.

The German Energy Ministry has already made a conclusion on the “Northern Flow-2”. The department came to the conclusion that the gas pipeline does not threaten the safety of energy supply of the European Union. Now the decision should make the Federal Network Agency of Germany, which will analyze the correspondence of the “Northern Flow-2” legal norms.
